ANDONI TRADITIONAL RULERS COUNCIL GETS NEW CHAIRMAN

As part of move towards deepening the ongoing peace process in Andoni Local Government Area initiated by the Executive Chairman of the Council Erastus Charles Awortu (Esq), the Andoni Traditional Rulers Council has successfully changed the baton of Leadership of the Andoni Traditional Institution.

The outgone Chairman of the Andoni Traditional Rulers Council His Royal Majesty King (Dr.) A.M. Ukuru (VII) ,JP, the Okaan-Ama of Ikuru Town handed over to His Royal Majesty King Okuruket-Nnabiget (XIV), JP, Okkaan-Ama Ngo of Ngo Town at a brief ceremony witnessed by the Council Chairman Erastus Awortu. 

The Traditional leadership succession is in consistent with the rotation of positions among Traditional Rulers of Andoni in the spirit of fairness, equity and peaceful co-existence among the communities of Andoni. 

The move which underscores the restoration of peace among the Traditional Rulers of Andoni is seen as one that would engender cohesion, mutuality and togetherness among the people of Andoni. 

With the successful handover of the mantle of Traditional Leadership in Andoni, His Royal Majesty King Okuruket-Nnabiget (XIV), JP, Okkaan-Ama Ngo of Ngo Town is now the incumbent Chairman of the Andoni Traditional Rulers Council. 

Both the outgone Chairman of the Andoni Traditional Rulers Council and his successor expressed delight at the peaceful transition in the leadership of the Traditional Institution of Andoni at the instance of the Executive Chairman of the Local Government Council Erastus Charles Awortu (Esq).
