 It's barely one and half month now since the inauguration of the new Andoni LGA boss, Erastus Awortu Esq.

*ANDONI COUNCIL BOSS DISBANDS ALL LOCAL SECURITY OUTFITS IN THE AREA* 

The Council Chairman of Andoni Local Government Erastus Awortu has disbanded all local security outfits in the area and directed security agencies to arrest anyone found in possession of firearms. 

The Andoni Council Boss while swearing-in his Vice Tema Christopher, the Sectretary to the Council and his Chief of Staff, said his administration does not recognize any local security outfit in the area other than the security agencies established by law. 

He warned that his administration would not condone the proliferation of illegal firearms in the area. 

Erastus Awortu said he has put measures in place to address the challenges inhibiting justice delivery system in the local government with a view to strengthening and enforcing the law in the area.

        

The Andoni Council Chairman Erastus Awortu also charged his Vice and the political appointees to live above-board and shun partisanship in the discharge of their duties.

        

In the meantime, the Andoni Council Chairman Erastus Awortu has proclaimed the 9th Andoni Legislative Assembly with a charge on the Councilors to be resourceful and make valuable contribution for the good governance of Andoni. 

The Councilor representing Ward-6 Andoni Sheila Jacob Nte who emerged as the Leader of the Andoni Legislative Assembly express the readiness of the Councilors to work harmoniously with the Council Chairman to address the menace of insecurity in the area and enhance the wellbeing of the people.

Other elected Principal Officers of the 9th Andoni Legislative Assembly include Paul Gideon, Deputy Leader while Ronyem Urang emerged as the Chief Whip
